Camelot -TV review

I've been waiting months for this to start on STARZ.  Naturally, the main reason I wanted to watch it is due to Jamie Campbell Bower getting a grownup role where he isn't a stuck up vampire. And he did deliver last night as the long lost gem of Camelot.

But as he said, he is playing a teenage boy, even if he is 23. In a recent interview with ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, he talked about how important the iconic role was to him, since he grew up not far from "King Arthur's" history."I don't feel like a leading man," he said in the interview. "I'm quite clumsy." But he held his own in the show with seasoned actors Joseph Feinnes and the lovely Eva Green as Merlin and Morgan.

The costuming is by the people who did the Tudors.

Canadian Peter Mooney plays Arthur's brother Kay. He was on Being Erica, but then who hasn't in Canada? He's quite fetching, and his big brother attitude is always trying to help Arthur out of a bind.

The very sexy Tamsin Egerton is Guinevere. It was quite funny last night when Arthur had a dream about her on his first sleep at Camelot and Merlin is standing over him, demanding who she is. Of course, he had not idea who she is. Naturally, she's betrothed to Gawain (Clive Standen) who saves Arthur after he pulls the sword from the waterfall. It was quite a feat. But thats how it is when you want to be king.

The show is filmed in beautiful Ireland. With Eva Green creating her wicked Morgan, this show will have lots of twists and turns. Catch it on Friday nights on STARZ. 9 p.m (central). 10 p.m. (east coast)
